Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit within a short-term acute care facility
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5, delivering safe and effective nursing interventions
- Float between units as needed to support staffing and patient care demands
- Accurately document patient assessments, care plans, and outcomes using Epic
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and optimize patient care
- Adhere to facility dress code and all applicable compliance and policy requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
- Proficiency with Epic (Epic Hardstop compliance required)
- Ability to commit to weekend shifts (6 shifts per 6-week period)
- Ability to commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify as a traveler
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience working in a Level II Trauma Center or comparable acute care environment
- Familiarity with travel nursing compliance processes and documentation requirements
- Experience floating between units or sister facilities
