Contract | Travel | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 13-Week Assignment | Weekends Required (2 shifts/month)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Ortho/Neuro Med/Surg unit during night shift hours
- Manage a patient ratio of 6:1, delivering safe and effective nursing care throughout the shift
- Operate and monitor Alaris IV pumps and wound vac equipment as required by patient care needs
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Meditech EMR
- Collaborate with charge nurses, PCTs, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a Med/Surg or Ortho/Neuro setting
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Experience with Meditech EMR
- Ability to work weekends as required (2 shifts per month)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience operating wound vac and IV pump equipment (Alaris)
- Flexible scheduling availability to meet unit needs
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Med/Surg or Ortho/Neuro environment
