Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a PCU/IMC/Stepdown setting, including post-operative surgical patients across bariatric, urology, hepatobiliary, colorectal, and trauma specialties
• Monitor and manage cardiac dysrhythmias, respond to Rapid Response and Code team activations
• Manage complex pain control modalities including epidural analgesia, PCA, ketamine, and lidocaine infusions
• Perform care and management of multiple drainage devices including JP drains, chest tubes, NG tubes, G-tubes, J-tubes, GJ-tubes, and foley/suprapubic catheters, including Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI)
• Perform wound care and Wound Vac management, including serial debridement support for patients with necrotizing soft tissue infections
• Float between departments, units, and facilities as needed to meet patient care demands

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in both Kansas and Missouri, or a compact license covering both states, required at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a PCU, IMC, DOU, or Stepdown setting
• Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Demonstrated proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with PICC line management, peripheral IV insertion and maintenance, and surgical drain care
• Proficiency with isolation precautions/PPE and chest tube management (Emerson/PleurEvac)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for post-operative bariatric, urology, hepatobiliary, colorectal, or trauma patient populations
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR system; ability to complete EPIC test-out or training module prior to start
• Experience with feeding tube care and management (NG, G-tube, J-tube, GJ-tube)
