Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Days (3x12 Hours, 7:00–19:00) | 36 or 48 hours per week available | Every other weekend and every other holiday required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy services within a pediatric hospital setting, including a Level 4 NICU environment
- Deliver age-appropriate respiratory care to neonatal and pediatric patients in accordance with established clinical protocols
- Operate and monitor respiratory equipment, including ventilators and related diagnostic devices
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to assess, plan, and implement patient respiratory care plans
- Float within scope of practice to other units as operationally needed
- Participate in a self-scheduling model while adhering to unit staffing requirements
Required Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- Minimum Level 4 NICU experience required
- Active Virginia Respiratory Therapy license required (pending license accepted provided a temporary license can be obtained before start date; must hold a license in another state to be eligible for a temporary Virginia license)
- Epic EMR experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) certification preferred
- Cardiac PICU experience preferred
