Registered Nurse – Operating Room (GYN/Surgical Services)

Contract | Days | Full-Time | 5x8-Hour Shifts | Monday–Friday | 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate in a dedicated GYN surgical services operating room environment with a 1:1 patient ratio
• Assist with and support a range of GYN procedures including robotic hysterectomies, laparoscopies, hysteroscopies, D&C, LEEP procedures, bladder slings, cystoscopies, and exploratory laparotomies
• Operate and assist with specialized surgical equipment including Da Vinci robotic system, Novasure, and Myosure
• Utilize facility systems including Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR for documentation and patient care coordination
• Participate in on-call rotation, typically once per week (5:00 PM – 7:00 AM), including potential weekend and holiday call coverage
• Float to other surgical services areas as needed based on unit demands

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a valid Compact RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be accepted
• Demonstrated circulator skills in an OR setting
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Robotic surgical experience, specifically with the Da Vinci system
• Experience with GYN-specific procedures including robotic hysterectomies, Novasure, and Myosure
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records system
