What You’ll Be Doing

• Conduct individual and group physical therapy evaluations to assess students’ gross motor abilities and functional mobility.
• Develop and implement tailored intervention and treatment plans aligned with students’ IEPs and 504 plans.
• Deliver direct therapy services within school settings, including classrooms and therapy rooms.
• Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and adjust plans as needed to ensure optimal benefit.
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, families, and other service providers to integrate therapy goals into daily routines and academic activities.
• Participate in IEP, 504, and multidisciplinary team meetings to support educational planning.
• Provide training to school staff and parents on therapy techniques, adaptive equipment, and mobility support.
• Travel throughout the school district to serve students at multiple school sites.
• Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress, and compliance records.
• Support staff development by offering training or guidance on therapy best practices.
• Perform additional duties related to student needs and program goals.

What We’re Looking For

• Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution or higher.
• Valid Florida Physical Therapy licensure or eligibility for licensure.
• Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations, ideally in educational or special education environments.
• Knowledge of pediatric development, gross motor functions, adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications.
• Familiarity with IEP, 504 Plans, IDEA, and school-based service delivery frameworks.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams.
• Organizational skills to manage caseloads, documentation, and schedules across multiple sites.
• Flexibility to travel and adapt to changing environments and student needs.
• Physical stamina for lifting, positioning, and working in varied indoor settings.
