Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting
- Assess, triage, and monitor patients presenting with acute and emergency conditions
- Document all patient care activities accurately using EPIC electronic health records
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and established protocols
- Float to other units as needed based on facility staffing requirements
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Active Virginia RN license or valid compact license in hand at time of submittal
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience, with specialty experience within the last year
- EPIC electronic health records experience required
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- NIH stroke education required
- One supervisory professional reference required at time of submittal
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in an acute care hospital environment
- Familiarity with stroke protocols and NIH Stroke Scale assessment
