Key Responsibilities

• Administer radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by physicians, adhering to the highest standards of care and safety
• Follow and support individualized patient treatment plans in close collaboration with the oncology medical team-
• Operate linear accelerators (including tomotherapy), CT simulators, and high dose rate brachytherapy units
• Provide care to cancer patients of all ages, including ambulatory, self-supportive, and inpatient populations requiring intensive monitoring
• Support a broad scope of treatments including external beam radiation therapy, low and high dose rate brachytherapy, Stereotactic Radiosurgery, and total body irradiation
• Assist with sedation and analgesia care as needed for applicable patients

Required Qualifications

• Current Hawaii State license as a Radiation Therapist
• Current CPR certification at the Healthcare Professional level
• Ability to perform essential physical demands including standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 10 pounds, and repetitive arm/hand motions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to radiation, body fluids, communicable diseases, and mechanical/electrical units

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior clinical experience as a Radiation Therapist
• Familiarity with a broad range of radiation oncology modalities including brachytherapy and Stereotactic Radiosurgery
