Registered Nurse – Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | 4x10-hour shifts with varied start times (earliest 6:00 AM) | On-call required: 8 shifts per month on a rotating basis including weekends and holidays
Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia nursing care to patients recovering from surgical or procedural sedation
- Monitor and assess patient status in the PACU setting, responding promptly to changes in conditionassist with PreOp preparation and patient readiness for procedures
- Participate in rotating on-call coverage including weekends and holidays as scheduled
- Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure safe patient transitions and outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Active Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Minimum 1 year of PACU and PreOp experience
- New graduates will not be considered
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Familiarity with virtual orientation processes
