Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 19:00–07:00 | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit during night shift hours
- Float to other Medical Surgical and Telemetry units as needed, including forensics and inpatient units
- Deliver safe, competent nursing care to a patient population that includes individuals from a correctional/prison setting
- Participate in holiday rotation, working 3 of 6 designated holidays based on assigned holiday group
- Complete required pre-start compliance modules and HealthStream exams within specified deadlines
Required Qualifications
- Valid Tennessee state license or compact multi-state nursing license (active, no pending licenses accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- NIH Stroke Scale certification
- CPI certification required (MAB accepted in lieu of CPI)
- Comfort working with a prison/correctional patient population
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience floating to Telemetry or other inpatient units
- Prior travel nursing experience or experience in a forensic/correctional healthcare setting
