Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Three 12-hour shifts per week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients throughout all stages of labor and delivery
- Care for newborns immediately following vaginal and cesarean section deliveries
- Circulate and recover patients undergoing cesarean sections
- Assist with and monitor procedures including vaginal deliveries, D&C, cerclage, epidural anesthesia, and tub labor
- Maintain accurate documentation using CPN and Meditach systems
- Adhere to unit floating policy; travelers are expected to float first as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification (Intermediate level required; Advanced not accepted) or CEFM certification
- Ability to work 3 weekend shifts and 1 call shift per scheduling period
- Compliance with dress code: Ceil Blue, Navy Blue, or Gray scrubs (not provided)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with shared decision-making practices in a patient-centered care environment
- Familiarity with CPN and Meditach documentation systems
- Experience working in a high-volume Women's and Children's unit setting
