Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (5x8 Hours, start times ranging 6:30 AM – 8:00 AM, Monday–Friday, no weekends, no holidays, no on-call)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform pediatric echocardiograms with a daily caseload of approximately 4–10 studies per shift
- Demonstrate proficiency in scanning and interpreting complex congenital heart defects and heart disease
- Enter full reports into PACS system accurately and in a timely manner
- Float between two facility locations as required to meet staffing needs
- Perform fetal echocardiograms when applicable based on candidate qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Pediatric Echo Tech
- Registered Pediatric Sonographer (ARDMS) with PE certification (FE certification also applicable), OR CCI with RCCS certification — all certifications must be active and in hand at time of start
- Proficiency in complex congenital heart defects and extensive knowledge of complex heart disease
- BLS certification required
- Willingness and ability to float between multiple facility locations
- Awareness that staff may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Proficiency with fetal echocardiograms highly preferred
- Experience with GE imaging systems (Vivid 95, Pioneer, Voluson) and PACS system for full report entry
- Physician reference documentation strongly recommended
