Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Acute Leukemia & Hematology)

Contract | Days and/or Nights, 3x12-Hour Shifts | Onsite | Shift times: Days 7:00–19:30 / Nights 19:00–7:30 | Rotating Day/Night scheduling based on unit needs, reviewed every 4-week scheduling period

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients primarily diagnosed with acute leukemia and hematologic conditions
• Implement and maintain heavy infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention measures
• Perform telemetry monitoring and interpret dysrhythmias
• Manage IV therapy, central lines, PICC lines, peripheral lines, and blood product administration
• Provide feeding tube care and management, phlebotomy, and central line blood draws
• Utilize computerized charting via EPIC and coordinate with Rapid Response Teams as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of overall acute care nursing experience, with at least 1 year of PCU experience
• Valid RN compact or state license in hand at time of submission
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications
• Proficiency with telemetry monitoring, MS/Tele skills, and IV therapy
• Ability to comply with Ohio fingerprinting requirements promptly upon contract signing

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ONS Chemotherapy Certification (no chemo certification required to apply)
• NIHSS certification
• Prior experience in an acute leukemia or hematology care setting
