Key Responsibilities

• Verify ordered exams and utilize assessment data to ensure appropriateness; administer contrast as directed and position patients and equipment to achieve optimal diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging, computer, and related equipment to produce and retain high-quality diagnostic images that meet or exceed department, organizational, and industry standards.
• Collaborate with physicians to evaluate images and determine whether additional imaging is required.
• Apply radiation safety techniques and devices to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
• Prepare patients for procedures, provide education, and respond to questions or concerns using an age-appropriate approach to communication, safety, and patient education.
• Oversee and train students providing patient care, treatment, and services as part of their clinical training.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of CT scanning experience required.
• ARRT(CT) certification required.
• Active license to practice in Kentucky (KY) or Indiana (IN) required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, patient positioning, imaging technique, radiation safety, infection control, and quality control.
