Contract | Nights (18:45–07:15) | Onsite | Every other weekend required | Holiday rotation required | 2–3 on-call shifts per month
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Labor, Delivery, and Recovery (LDR) setting during night shift hours
- Float to Medical-Surgical unit as needed to support overflow patient census
- Monitor and assess fetal status using intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring techniques
- Care for pediatric patients as required during float assignments
- Participate in on-call rotation, including callback availability during scheduled shifts
- Adhere to all facility policies, including nicotine-free workplace requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of Labor, Delivery, and Recovery (LDR) experience
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (PALS must be obtained prior to start date)
- Completion of an intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring course within the past 24 months
- Willingness to float to Medical-Surgical and provide care for pediatric patients
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 3 or more years of LDR experience, preferably in a rural hospital setting
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system
