Contract | Days | Three 12-hour shifts per week (6:30 AM–7:00 PM or 6:30 PM–7:00 AM) | Onsite | Rotating weekends and holidays | No call required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to high-risk OB patients across antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum phases
- Circulate C-sections in the OR setting within a unit that includes LDRs, triage bays, PACU, and operating rooms
- Administer and monitor infusions including Oxytocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and Insulin, as well as epidural pump management
- Perform IV starts, venipuncture, and lab draws on both mothers and newborns
- Conduct newborn stabilization and support care for patients ranging in age from 12–50
- Float to Postpartum and Antepartum units as needed and rotate holidays per unit requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active Compact RN license or active Arkansas RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Labor & Delivery
- Current BLS certification
- Recent hands-on experience with EPIC electronic health records system
- Proficiency with Pyxis medication system and Alaris pumps
- Must reside 100 or more miles from the facility (no local candidates)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Level 1 trauma center experience strongly preferred
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification
- Experience working in a high-volume teaching facility environment
