Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Oncology)

Contract | Days or Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30 / 19:00–7:30)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients diagnosed with solid tumor cancers including breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, and esophageal cancers, as well as patients receiving antineoplastic chemotherapy
- Support patients across the full cancer care continuum, from new diagnosis through active treatment and transition to end-of-life care
- Perform telemetry monitoring and interpretation as part of routine patient assessment
- Adhere to infection prevention protocols and implement patient fall prevention measures
- Float to other Medical Surgical Oncology units as needed based on staffing requirements
- Document patient care accurately using electronic health record systems
Required Qualifications
- Active, valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- Minimum of 2 years of registered nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficiency in telemetry interpretation and monitoring
- Experience with computerized charting; EPIC required
- Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Oncology nursing experience
- ONS Chemotherapy certification
- Previous travel nursing experience
