CAT Scan Technologist (CT Tech)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures including interventional cases, CT Angiography, and advanced 3D reconstruction in accordance with department protocol and under the direction of the Radiologist and CT Supervisor
• Administer IV, oral, and rectal contrast; review IV Contrast Questionnaire with applicable patients
• Inform and instruct patients prior to exams to ensure cooperation and safety; maintain responsibility for patient safety throughout all procedures
• Coordinate daily workload by scheduling inpatients and prioritizing emergency department patients while considering the outpatient schedule
• Complete documentation in Epic EMR and review exams in PACS for completeness prior to radiologist submission
• Maintain equipment, perform daily QA and warm-up procedures, troubleshoot equipment issues, and keep a clean and organized work area

Required Qualifications

• Current ARRT Certification required
• New Hampshire Imaging License required
• BLS Certification required
• Demonstrated CT Scan experience required
• Ability to apply the ALARA principle and practice radiation safety for patients and staff at all times
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and provide flexible coverage including on-call, holidays, and weekends

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ARRT CT Registry eligible preferred
• Familiarity with GE and Siemens CT Scan software preferred
• Experience with McKesson Change Healthcare PACS software preferred
• Experience with Epic Electronic Medical Record system preferred
