Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 3 x 12-Hour Shifts Per Week | Every Other Weekend Required | Holiday rotation required (one holiday per group: Thanksgiving Eve or Day, Christmas Eve or Day, New Year's Eve or Day)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care Unit setting with patient ratios of 3:1 to 4:1
• Manage and monitor patients requiring BiPAP, chest tubes, and PICC lines, including drawing own labs
• Independently call consults and conduct codes without reliance on a vascular access team
• Care for post-open-heart surgery patients (Day 2 or Day 3), including management of pacer wires
• Float to ICU and other inpatient units including Med/Surge, Med/Tele, Acute/Tele, and ED based on unit needs and prior experience

Required Qualifications

• Active Kansas RN License or valid Compact RN License
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Critical Care/ICU or Emergency Department experience
• Demonstrated experience with BiPAP, chest tubes, PICC lines, and independent lab draws
• Comfortable operating independently without a vascular access team, including calling own consults and running own codes
• Open-heart post-operative experience with pacer wire management (Day 2 or Day 3)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to manage high-acuity patients independently
• Prior experience floating to multiple inpatient unit types including ICU, Med/Surge, Med/Tele, and ED
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system
