Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (Monday–Friday, 5x8s) | Rotating on-call responsibilities including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical operations and procedures
- Apply and maintain excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques throughout all surgical cases
- Respond quickly and accurately to a wide variety of clinical situations, including emergency and trauma cases
- Participate in rotating on-call responsibilities, averaging 7–9 call days per month, with a 20-minute response time to the facility
- Circulate and assist across general, orthopedic, and obstetric surgical cases as needed
- Uphold patient safety standards and precautions throughout all perioperative phases of care
Required Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN licensure in Utah or a compact state
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current BLS certification; current ACLS certification or ability to obtain within three months of hire
- Strong knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
- Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and listening) with the ability to function effectively as a team player
- Emotional and physical stamina with the ability to remain calm and respond effectively in high-stress, rapidly changing situations
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in pre-op and/or PACU settings
- Proficiency in circulating general, orthopedic, and obstetric cases, including C-sections
- Experience assisting with trauma cases in an emergency department setting
- Confidence and competency to independently manage surgical patients during emergency on-call cases
