Contract | Nights (18:45–07:15) | Onsite | Every other weekend required | 2–3 on-call shifts per month | Holidays required on a rotating basis
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Labor, Delivery, and Recovery (LDR) setting during night shift hours
- Float to Medical-Surgical unit as needed to support overflow patient census
- Monitor and assess fetal status using intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring techniques
- Provide care to pediatric patients as required by unit needs
- Participate in on-call rotation, including callback to work during scheduled shifts when census demands
- Adhere to all facility policies, including nicotine-free workplace requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- Minimum 2 years of Labor, Delivery, and Recovery (LDR) experience
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Fetal monitoring class completion (intermediate or advanced level) within the past 24 months
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required prior to start date
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 3 or more years of LDR experience, preferably in a rural hospital setting
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system
