Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department with a 1:4 patient ratio across a 30-bed unit with additional hall bed capacity
- Perform and assist with procedures including IV placement, blood draws, NIH stroke assessments, moderate sedation, TNK administration, and cardiac monitoring
- Operate and monitor equipment including IV pumps, cardiac monitors, ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, and rapid infusers
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, paramedics, and LVNs across day and night shifts
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Texas or compact state eligibility
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current PALS certification
- Current TNCC certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification
- Demonstrated compassion and empathy in patient interactions
- Strong team-player mentality with ability to thrive in a high-volume emergency setting
