Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | On-Call Required (2 twelve-hour shifts per 6-week period)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in a Labor and Delivery unit within an acute care hospital setting
- Monitor and assess maternal and fetal status throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum periods
- Utilize electronic health record and fetal monitoring systems to document and track patient care
- Administer and manage medications using facility medication dispensing systems
- Participate in on-call coverage as required by unit scheduling needs
- Support couplet care or transition nursery functions as unit needs dictate
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
- Active SC RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license (SC license must be active prior to start)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- AWHONN Beginner and AWHONN Intermediate certifications
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- AWHONN Advanced certification
- STABLE certification
- Experience with Epic electronic health records
- Familiarity with couplet care or transition nursery environments
