Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Monitor and interpret telemetry, including identification and response to cardiac dysrhythmias
- Operate bedside monitoring equipment capable of telemetry, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry
- Float within scope of practice to meet facility needs as required
- Participate in every-other-weekend shifts as a non-negotiable scheduling requirement
- Collaborate with a 24/7 house supervisor and available off-shift leadership to ensure continuity of care
Required Qualifications
- Active South Carolina RN license or valid Compact RN license must be in hand prior to start date
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing
- Demonstrated experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health records
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a community hospital setting
- Familiarity with step-down or intermediate care unit workflows
