Surgical Technologist – Operating Room (CST)

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | Holiday rotation required | Up to 1 weekend shift per 4-week schedule period | Up to 4 on-call shifts per 4-week schedule period

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub surgical cases across a broad range of specialties including Ortho (total joints, spine, trauma), Neuro (craniotomy, spine), ENT (flaps), Robotics, Transplants/Procurements, Trauma/Burns, and GU/GYN
• Function within a high-volume, Level I Trauma Center main operating room environment across 21 OR suites
• Float within scope of practice to meet facility needs, including coverage across like units as required
• Participate in on-call shifts and weekend coverage per schedule requirements
• Chart accurately using EPIC electronic health record system
• Adhere to all facility protocols, including emergency response assignments during hurricane season (June–November)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist
• Active NBSTSA certification required (NCCT not accepted)
• Current BLS certification
• Level I trauma experience required
• Radiation badge required (must be provided by agency)
• Ability to scrub a wide variety of surgical specialties as supported by the main OR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Neuro cases including spines and craniotomies
• Experience with ENT flap procedures
• Proficiency with Robotic-assisted surgery, specifically DaVinci Xi platform
