Speech Language Pathologist
Location: Gloucester, VA
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Days, 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide speech-language therapy services to patients in a hospital setting
• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for communication and swallowing disorders
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate treatment records in EPIC and other required systems
• Collaborate with medical and therapy teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Ensure compliance with all certification and licensing requirements, including AHA courses and VA licensure
• Adhere to facility-specific protocols, including RTO (Request for Time Off) guidelines and specialty experience within the last year

Required Qualifications:

• Valid state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist (VA or compact license)
• US-based certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• EPIC charting experience, particularly for acute care hospitals under Riverside Health system
• NIH and stroke education completion for acute care hospital roles
• Flexibility to float as needed based on facility requirements
• Candidates must provide a supervisory reference (two required for compliance)

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Recent experience working in a hospital or acute care setting within the last year
• Prior experience with Riverside Health system facilities preferred
