Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for general Medical Surgical patients on a 24-bed inpatient unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
• Conduct bedside shift reports and perform safety rounding in accordance with facility policy
• Collaborate with unit secretaries and Patient Care Technicians to support patient care delivery
• Document patient information and clinical data using the Meditech Expanse electronic health record system
• Float as needed to other Med Surg units, the Emergency Department for Med Surg holds, or ICU/PCU to care for Med Surg level patients
• Work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with permanent hospital staff

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Georgia or compact licensure eligibility
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Proficiency with standard hospital equipment used in a Medical Surgical setting
• Ability to commit to a 13-week travel assignment with availability for 2 weekends per month

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with Meditech Expanse documentation system
• Experience working in an acute care hospital environment
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to floating assignments across multiple units
