Registered Nurse – ICU (Critical Care Float Pool)

Contract | Nights (3x12 Hours, 19:00–07:00) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Float across Critical Care Units including Surgical ICU, Medical ICU, Cardiac Care Unit, and Oncology ICU as needed based on facility census and staffing needs
• Provide direct care to critically ill patients including those with traumatic injuries, surgical complications, neurological conditions, cardiac procedures, oncology diagnoses, DKA, and ETOH withdrawal
• Monitor and manage patients requiring an elevated level of care, including those undergoing chemo inductions
• Adhere to unit-specific protocols and documentation standards using EPIC electronic health record system
• Work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and may be scheduled for holidays occurring during the assignment period

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Virginia or valid compact license (must be in hand at time of submittal)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU/critical care experience, with specialty experience within the last year
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current PALS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• EPIC electronic health record experience required
• NIH stroke scale education and stroke education required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in multiple ICU subspecialties (surgical, medical, cardiac, or oncology critical care)
• Flexible scheduling availability with ability to minimize time-off requests during assignment
• Prior float pool or multi-unit critical care experience
