Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a PCU/IMC/Stepdown setting with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and coordinate rapid response as needed
• Administer and titrate cardiac drips, manage heparin protocols, PCA, and procedural sedation
• Perform IV therapy, central line and PICC line management, blood product administration, and phlebotomy
• Manage respiratory support including tracheostomy care, chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula
• Float between departments, units, and facilities as needed, including Emergency Department inpatient holding areas

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license – must hold both Kansas and Missouri licensure or a compact license at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a PCU, IMC, Stepdown, or related setting
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, and neurological/stroke care (CVA)
• Experience with pre/post cardiac procedures including cardiac cath, angiogram, and cardiac surgery patients
• Candidate's home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous charge nurse experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Experience with renal failure management, pre/post hemodialysis, and IV insulin protocols
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR system
