Contract | Days | 5x8s, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Occasional weekend requirement

Key Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language pathology services within a hospital-based inpatient rehabilitation unit as the primary setting
• Manage a daily caseload with approximately 6.5 hours of patient contact time per 8-hour shift; individual treatment sessions range from 30 to 60 minutes
• Perform and interpret Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies as part of dysphagia evaluation and management
• Administer Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES / VitalStim) therapy as clinically indicated
• Document patient care and progress using Epic electronic health records
• Float to acute care as needed based on census fluctuations while maintaining primary responsibilities in the inpatient rehab program

Required Qualifications

• Current South Carolina state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology (license must be active prior to start)
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Proficiency in NMES (VitalStim) and Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies required
• Radiation badge required — must be supplied by the staffing agency prior to start
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2–3 years of experience, with prior Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) experience strongly preferred
• First-time travelers considered with confirmed IRF experience
• Familiarity with Epic electronic health records charting system
