Travel RN – Surgical Oncology (Night Shift)

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Full-Time | Onsite | Projected Start: August 24, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Surgical Oncology unit with a patient ratio of approximately 1:5 to 1:6
- Perform medication administration, chest tube management, NGT management, and Foley management
- Operate unit equipment including Baxter pumps, SCD machines, Mobilab, and glucometers
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
- Float to Medical Oncology and Med/Surg units as needed
- Work every other weekend or approximately 4 weekend shifts per month and adhere to the facility attendance policy
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
- Current BLS certification
- Strong communication skills
- Demonstrated compassion and empathy in patient care
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Proficiency in IV insertion
- Experience with chemotherapy administration
- Prior Surgical Oncology or Oncology nursing background
