Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 3 Shifts per Week | Rotating Weekends and Holidays | Projected Start: September 7, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Labor, deliver, and recover obstetric patients within an LDRP unit setting, including assessment and transition of the newborn
- Monitor and manage patients through inductions using Pitocin and Cervidil, and assist with or support C-sections, vacuum or forceps-assisted deliveries, circumcisions, and intra-uterine monitoring
- Recognize and respond to OB emergencies including shoulder dystocia and postpartum hemorrhage
- Provide couplet care and intermediate NICU care as needed, adhering to established patient ratios
- Document accurately using Meditech and CPN Central monitoring systems
- Perform daily safety rounding on all patients and adhere to unit-specific infant security policies including dress code requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience, including the ability to labor and recover the mother and receive and transition the newborn
- Current BLS certification
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Fetal monitoring training and certification
- Experience with inductions (Pitocin, Cervidil) and fetal monitoring
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience managing OB emergencies including shoulder dystocia and postpartum hemorrhage
- Familiarity with Meditech electronic documentation system
- Cross-training or experience in both LDRP and NICU settings
