Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to high-risk obstetric patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity inpatient setting
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, identifying and responding to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, care provided, and outcomes
- Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and postpartum or antepartum expectations
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Tennessee or compact state eligibility
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in OB/GYN or high-risk obstetrics
- Current BLS certification required
- Experience working in a high-acuity or high-risk obstetric environment
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a travel assignment capacity
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a large, comprehensive hospital or women's hospital setting
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems used in inpatient OB units
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
