Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | Monday–Friday, 11:00 PM–7:30 AM | Occasional scheduled holidays | Float to other locations may be required
Key Responsibilities
- Perform decontamination of all items including drills, robotic surgical instruments, and scopes
- Assemble instruments across all service lines including trauma, loaners, and peel packaging
- Execute sterilization processes using Sterrad and steam sterilization methods
- Perform High-Level Disinfection (HLD) and scope reprocessing
- Manage sterile storage and serve as OR Liaison as needed
- Utilize the Censitrac instrument tracking system for accurate documentation and traceability
Required Qualifications
- CBSPD or CRCST certification (through HSPA, formerly IAHCSMM) required
- Minimum 3 years of sterile processing experience in a high-volume, comparable facility
- Experience across all areas of a sterile processing department including decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and sterile storage
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this assignment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a Level I Trauma Center environment
- Familiarity with robotic surgical instrument reprocessing
- Prior experience with Censitrac or similar instrument tracking systems
