Registered Nurse – ICU (Critical Care Float Pool)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Float within a Critical Care Float Pool, covering a variety of ICU settings including Neuro ICU, Surgical ICU, Medical ICU, Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, SICU, and NCCU based on staffing needs and patient acuity
• Provide high-acuity critical care nursing across equivalent or lower acuity units per float policy
• Manage patients requiring ventilator support, telemetry monitoring, and IV access
• Document and coordinate patient care using the EPIC electronic health record system
• Adapt quickly to varying unit environments and patient populations while maintaining safe, high-quality care standards

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency with EPIC required
• Demonstrated competency in IV start, telemetry, and ventilator management
• Valid compact or Ohio state RN license must be in hand at time of submission
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Experience floating across multiple critical care unit types
• Familiarity with high-acuity neuro, cardiovascular, and surgical ICU patient populations
