Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual physical therapy evaluations and re-evaluations to assess functional motor abilities relevant to school tasks, including mobility, positioning, balance, transfers, and gross motor skills.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention and treatment plans aligned with each student's IEP or 504 plan goals.
• Provide direct physical therapy services individually or in small groups within school settings, including classrooms, therapy areas, or other least-restrictive environments.
• Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, school staff, parents, and other related-service providers to integrate therapy strategies into daily school routines and classroom environments.
• Participate in IEP, 504, and multidisciplinary team meetings to contribute to educational planning, goal setting, accommodation decisions, and progress review.
• Maintain required documentation and records, including treatment records, time sheets, and applicable billing statistics, in accordance with district and state policy.

Required Qualifications

• Master's Degree or higher in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Valid Florida Physical Therapy licensure or eligibility for licensure.
• Knowledge of pediatric physical therapy, child development, gross motor function, and adaptive equipment.
• Familiarity with educational laws and regulations relevant to special education, including IEP, 504 Plans, and IDEA.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to travel between multiple school sites and adapt therapy plans to varying environments and student needs.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in pediatric or school-based therapy settings, ideally within a special education environment.
• Experience with adaptive equipment, assistive technology, mobility aids, and environmental modifications to support student access and participation.
• Familiarity with school-based service delivery frameworks and IEP documentation requirements.
