- Full-time, Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 13-week assignment, potential temp-to-perm
Key Responsibilities
- Provide routine and complex nursing care to post-surgical patients, including orthopedics, general surgery, and neuro populations
- Utilize nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of assigned patients
- Administer medications and treatments following protocols, monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness
- Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided accurately
- Collaborate with care team members, make appropriate assignments, and delegate tasks as needed
- Educate patients and families regarding their conditions and care plans
Required Qualifications
- BLS certification from AHA
- Valid RN license in the state of employment or a compact license
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar clinical setting preferred
Preferred Experience / Skills
- EPIC electronic health record system experience is a plus
- Experience caring for neuro or post-surgical patient populations
