Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in a high-volume operating room environment covering specialties including General, Plastics, GYN, ENT, Trauma, Neuro, Ortho, GU, Colorectal, and Robotics
• Circulate in the OR as required; scrub skills preferred
• Float within scope to meet facility needs, including to affiliate hospital locations as needed
• Participate in on-call requirements, with approximately 6 call shifts per 6-week period (subject to variation)
• Work a minimum of 2 out of 3 major holidays as required by facility policy

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license — Indiana license must be in hand prior to start; temporary licenses are not accepted at time of submission
• Minimum of 3 years of OR RN experience required
• Level I Trauma experience required — minimum of 2 years; candidates with at least 1 year of Level I Trauma experience may be considered with additional screening
• BLS certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Must be well-rounded across most OR service lines; CV and Transplant experience not required
• Local travelers (Indiana residents) are welcome and accepted for this Surgical Services position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Scrub experience in addition to circulating skills
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records
• Experience in a high-volume, acute care OR setting with a broad range of surgical specialties
