Key Responsibilities

• Select and perform evaluation and treatment methods correlated to patient age, diagnosis, symptoms, and physician orders; document per chart and review standards
• Orient patients, families, and appropriate parties to therapy evaluation and treatment purposes and procedures; provide patient education, family teaching, and support
• Coordinate treatment schedules across disciplines and participate with the interdisciplinary team in developing and documenting accurate discharge plans
• Monitor program effectiveness and outcomes; initiate and develop new programs as needed
• Identify significant changes in patient condition and take appropriate action, including reporting, staffing consultations, and documentation
• Provide clinical supervision to OTAs in a collaborative manner following state licensure and care delivery standards

Required Qualifications

• Active North Dakota State Occupational Therapist license required prior to start date
• NBCOT certification (OTR/L) required prior to start date
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required prior to start date
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required prior to start date
• Inpatient and/or outpatient experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2+ years of occupational therapy experience preferred
• Experience working within an interdisciplinary team environment
• Familiarity with care planning, goal development, and discharge planning processes
