Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7pm–7am, 3x12-hour shifts) | Expected 36–48 hours/week | Every other weekend required | Must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays | Block scheduling is not available | Time off around Christmas is not available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 27-bed General Medicine unit serving a variety of disease processes across Respiratory, Endocrine, Cardiac, Immune/Infectious Disease, and Renal systems
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and patient management throughout the shift
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed per facility float policy
• Participate in unit orientation including completion of specialty-specific modules

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
• Epic EMR experience required
• BLS certification required
• Nursys verification required at time of submission
• Must comply with facility float policy within scope of practice
• Maximum expected time off of 40 hours per 13-week contract; all requested time off must be disclosed at submission
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (locals are not accepted for this unit)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred but not required
• BSN preferred
• Prior experience in Medical Surgical or Telemetry nursing
