Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a telemetry unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Care for post-surgical neurology patients and patients with varied neurology diagnoses
• Administer and interpret the NIH Stroke Scale accurately and consistently
• Float between units within the facility as operationally needed
• Document all patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license required; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Neurology nursing experience required, including comfort with the NIH Stroke Scale and care of post-surgical neurology patients
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Must submit all time-off requests upfront at the time of submission; post-offer requests may not be accommodated
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a short-term acute care, Level II Trauma, or teaching hospital environment
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and high-acuity patient populations
• Ability to adapt to floating assignments across sister facilities as needed
