Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process — including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation — for assigned Emergency Department patients in a high-acuity setting
• Manage a high volume of cases including strokes, cardiovascular conditions, diabetes, wounds, behavioral health, and sepsis; some trauma exposure expected
• Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and thoroughly
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identify issues and connect to appropriate resources

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in state of employment or valid compact license
• BLS certification via AHA required
• ACLS certification via AHA required
• PALS certification via AHA required
• TNCC certification required
• De-Escalation certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Experience managing high-acuity patients including stroke, sepsis, cardiovascular, and behavioral health cases
• Prior travel nursing experience in an Emergency Department setting
