Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services within the Urgent Care Department, collaborating with providers, clinic staff, and management to ensure quality care and efficient use of resources
• Offer leadership and direction to clinic staff, supporting efficient operation of all aspects of the clinic including front desk and patient care
• Clearly and accurately document all care and services provided in a timely and professional manner
• Maintain medication inventory, supplies, and ensure required quality control checks are completed for Point of Care tests
• Assist providers and staff as needed, anticipating needs to support efficient and quality patient care
• Communicate effectively across departments and maintain a clean, safe working environment including upkeep of equipment and reporting of safety hazards

Required Qualifications

• Active, full, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Alaska — required at time of submittal
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of urgent care experience, with experience must be within the last 2 years
• Proof of Flu Vaccine required
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced ambulatory care environment
• Strong oral and written communication skills with experience collaborating across departments
• Experience with Point of Care testing, specimen collection, and use of medical and computer equipment
• Ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to maintain effective working relationships with staff and departments
