Key Responsibilities

• Verify ordered exams and appropriateness using assessment data and principles of growth and development; administer contrast as directed and position patients and equipment to achieve optimal diagnostic images
• Utilize imaging, computer, and related equipment to produce and retain high-quality diagnostic images meeting or exceeding department, organizational, and industry standards
• Collaborate with physicians to evaluate images and determine whether additional imaging is required
• Apply radiation safety techniques and devices to minimize exposure to patients and staff
• Prepare patients for procedures, provide education, and respond to questions or concerns using an age-appropriate approach to communication, safety, and patient education
• Oversee and train students providing patient care, treatment, and services as part of their clinical training

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of CT scanning experience required
• ARRT(CT) certification required
• Active state license to practice in Kentucky (KY) or Indiana (IN) required
• BLS certification required
