Key Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments in accordance with RN scope of practice, considering culture, age, developmental level, and risk factors
• Develop individualized care plans, prioritize patient needs, and determine desired outcomes in coordination with patients, families, and the inter-professional team
• Implement patient care therapies and procedures with clinical autonomy within scope of practice; recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition
• Provide patient and family education related to procedures, treatments, and discharge planning; coordinate discharge activities with Case Management and other team members
• Delegate tasks appropriately and monitor accuracy and completeness of care provided by other team members
• Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and documentation auditing

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky
• BLS certification required
• ADN or ASN degree
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all members of the care team
• Proficiency with or ability to be trained on computer systems and clinical applications

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous nursing experience in a PACU or perioperative setting
• BSN degree
