Contract (13 weeks, possible extension) | Days | 4x10 (7:00a–5:30p) or 5x8 (7:30a–4:00p) as needed | On-call required: 1 weekday and 1 weekend every 4–6 weeks, including holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including PCI, PTCA, left and right heart catheterization, cardiac stent placement, and rotablader atherectomy, under physician direction
• Participate in endovascular peripheral interventions including angioplasty, embolization, IVC filter placement, stent placement, and upper and lower extremity angiography
• Monitor and accurately document patient hemodynamic status throughout procedures, including IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, and PA line insertion
• Perform scrub and circulator roles, maintaining sterile field, preparing access sites, and utilizing vascular closure systems
• Operate and maintain imaging and procedural equipment including Siemens systems and PACS; recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias and utilize Rapid Response protocols
• Maintain required licensure and certifications, attend mandatory in-services and staff meetings, and complete all required competency assessments on time

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Minimum 1.5–2 years of experience in a diagnostic cardiac cath lab and/or interventional cardiac cath lab setting
• Active ARRT registration — RT(R) required
• Active West Virginia Medical Imaging (Radiologic Technology) license required; candidates with license pending may be submitted but must obtain licensure prior to start
• Current ACLS and BLS (BCLS) certifications required (American Heart Association preferred)
• Travel experience required; permanent address must be greater than 100 miles from facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in an Electrophysiology (EP) Lab or Interventional Radiology setting
• ARRT Cardiac-Interventional (CI) certification preferred
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR
