Travel RN – PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit)

Denver, CO | Pediatric Intensive Care
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct bedside nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in a 20-bed PICU at a 1:2 or 1:1 patient ratio
- Operate and monitor equipment including Philips monitors, Alaris and Medfusion IV pumps
- Perform and assist with conscious sedations and care of patients in respiratory failure, including management of ETT and HFOV
- Maintain and care for central lines and assist with CT placement
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including a free charge RN, bedside RNs, and PCTs
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid for practice in Colorado
- Minimum 1 year of current PICU RN experience
- BLS certification required
- PALS certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Post-operative cardiac experience
- Proficiency in venous puncture
