Contract | Nights | 3x12 Hours (19:00–07:30) | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a telemetry/step-down unit serving adult and geriatric populations, including stroke, neuro/spine, post-cardiac cath, general surgery, wound care, diabetic, and medical patients
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Deliver specialized care for stroke patients and patients recovering from cardiac catheterization procedures
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Float between two facility locations within the same service line as needed
• Maintain a patient ratio of approximately 1:4–6 within an average daily census of 16

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Missouri (may submit without license in hand; MO or compact license required — compact must match permanent residence) or Illinois (license in hand required at time of submittal)
• ACLS certification required
• BLS/BCLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; telemetry or step-down experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Neuro/stroke nursing experience
• Experience caring for post-cardiac catheterization patients
• Step-down unit background
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
