Key Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy procedures including venipuncture and capillary blood collection on patients in a cancer center lab setting
• Accurately label, process, and handle specimens in accordance with established laboratory protocols
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to infection control and safety standards
• Interact professionally with patients, clinical staff, and laboratory personnel to ensure quality care and efficient workflow
• Document collection activities and patient information accurately in the system

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as a Phlebotomist
• Ability to meet credentialing requirements prior to start date
• Professional appearance — scrubs required
• Overtime must be pre-approved; ability to adhere to scheduling and authorization policies

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a cancer center, oncology, or specialty lab environment
• Experience at the Phlebotomist III level or equivalent advanced proficiency
• Strong patient communication skills, particularly with sensitive or medically complex populations
