Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a high-acuity telemetry unit with a heavy neurology patient population
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding appropriately to changes in patient conditionCare for post-surgical neurology patients and patients with varied neurological diagnoses
• Administer and document assessments using the NIH Stroke Scale
• Maintain a patient assignment ratio of 1:5
• Float between units as needed within the facility system

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of telemetry RN experience required
• Valid RN license required; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Proficiency with Epic EMR (charting system used at this facility)
• Willingness to work on a heavy neurology unit and learn neurology-specific care (prior neuro experience not required)
• Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a traveler (locals considered under separate terms)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior neurology nursing experience or familiarity with neurological diagnoses and post-surgical neuro care
• Comfort with NIH Stroke Scale administration and documentation
• Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center or large acute care teaching hospital environment
